“Isn’t that dangerous?” That’s the most common reaction when I talk about my hobby. Riding a motorcycle safely: I only started looking into the topic more seriously after my serious crash in August 2018. I was actually at Intermot as a dealer, but I made an important discovery: the airbag system for motorcyclists!
How does the airbag system work?
Unlike in a car, we are exposed to the road “naked” without appropriate protective clothing and have to wear the airbag directly on our bodies.Here's what you need to know:

Is it possible for the airbag to deploy “accidentally”?
The rip cord triggers the Helite airbag at a pulling force of 30 kg, therefore the protective vest should actually It doesn't just inflate randomly. The electronic airbag measures your movements several times per second and detects dangerous situations – so we shouldn't experience any surprises here either.
Protective clothing is reusable.
If the vest does happen to come loose in a non-dangerous driving situation, you can of course reuse it. The CO2 supply capsule and the rip cord can be purchased and replaced cheaply.
