You come home after a long ride and just want to get out of your clothes. But where do you put them? Suits are heavy, bulky and take up a good third of your wardrobe! Unfortunately, it's not that easy to find a suitable place for them. In addition, motorcycle equipment requires constant care, which you shouldn't put off.
Do not let immediate cleaning drag
Even if it's annoying, clean them immediately after the trip. Flies and dried dirt are difficult to remove and you don't want to damage the leather. Follow these tips immediately after you get home:- Put a wet kitchen roll on the visor and let it soak. If the dirt is particularly stubborn, add dish soap and wipe it off.
- Hang your combo up directly, you can clean it so much easier than if it is lying on the floor
- You can clean your combo more easily in the shower than in any other room in the apartment
- Don't fold your suit in the closet like a sweater - this can have a huge impact on the condition of the leather, as it will become brittle.
Motorcycle clothing takes up a lot of space in the closet
Once your motorcycle clothing is clean, it needs to be stored. One option is your wardrobe - it's clothing after all. However, you need at least an arm's length of space, which is unfortunately not a small amount. Most hangers are not designed for such a weight and will break. So when buying, make sure that the hanger can hold the weight.
Shoulder protectors can be dented by conventional braces
Normal bars are very long and can damage the protectors because they don't return to their original position. This can have a huge impact on your riding safety!
Cheap alternative to leather grease
There are special protective covers that you can use to store your leather suit over the winter. Make sure you grease the suit. Do not use too much grease so that the material can breathe.
Alternatively, you can also use saddle grease, which is much cheaper than conventional leather care for motorcycle suits.
holder for motorcycle clothing
SUITBASE® is a holder for motorcycle clothing. The leather can breathe and does not warp because it was specially developed for the fit and weight of the protective clothing. The protectors are not pressed in by the bracket because the bracket element is specially designed for this.
Another advantage: With the SUITBASE® motorcycle wardrobe, your suit hangs far enough away from the wall so that it cannot get dirty and the helmet is easily accessible.
